CQDM and CPDC are pleased to launch a national call for ideas aimed at identifying innovative Canadian technologies, discoveries, and companies that can contribute to the next generation of radiopharmaceuticals.

Canada has developed internationally recognized expertise across the radiopharmaceutical value chain, from target discovery and isotope production to clinical development and commercialization. Through this initiative, CQDM and CPDC seek to identify and support emerging Canadian innovations by connecting promising teams with CPDC’s scientific and investment experts.

What is the opportunity?

CPDC has played a key role in the creation and growth of globally recognized Canadian radiopharmaceutical companies, including Fusion Pharmaceuticals and AtomVie Global Radiopharma. This Pitch Day will provide selected participants with a unique opportunity to receive feedback from CPDC, and to explore potential direct Seed and Series A investment, in-licensing, and collaboration opportunities in the radiopharmaceutical space.

In addition, CQDM will offer guidance to selected participants interested in pursuing non-dilutive funding opportunities through relevant CQDM programs, including SynergiQc and/or others.

Selected applicants will be invited to present their technology, company, or research program to CPDC’s scientific experts and investment team during a virtual CQDM-CPDC Pitch Day. Please note that this call for ideas is not a grant competition.

Research Focus Areas

We are particularly interested in innovative technologies that address important unmet clinical needs and demonstrate a clear pathway toward translation and commercialization, including:

• Radiotherapeutics
• Radiotheranostic pairs
• Novel radiopharmaceutical targets and targeting approaches
• Radiodiagnostics
• New applications and indications beyond oncology
• Technologies enabling radiopharmaceutical discovery, development, manufacturing, or scale-up

We are seeking ideas that combine scientific excellence, innovation, and strong commercial potential to help strengthen Canada’s position as a global leader in radiopharmaceutical innovation.

Who Can Apply

Applications are welcome from:

• Canadian startups and SMEs
• Established Canadian biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies
• Researchers at Canadian universities and research institutions
• Academic-industry partnerships and multidisciplinary teams

We will consider projects at all stages of development, provided they demonstrate innovative and commercial potential in the radiopharmaceutical sector. 

Selection Process

Submission deadline is October 15, 2026. All submissions will be reviewed jointly by CQDM and CPDC.

Selected applicants will be invited to participate in the CQDM-CPDC Pitch Day on December 2, 2026, where they will present their technology directly to CPDC’s investment team.

Participation in the Pitch Day does not guarantee investment or future funding. However, it provides a unique opportunity to engage directly with one of Canada’s leading organizations dedicated to the advancement and commercialization of radiopharmaceutical innovations.
